Tony Wold Ed.d.

Tony Wold, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Tony'smost recent role was as the Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Financial Officer at Contra Costa Community College District, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at DistrictOS as a Director and Administrator in Residence, using software analytics to provide real-time connections for public schools. Tony also worked as the CBO in Residence at School Innovations & Achievement, where they implemented the Achievement Initiative to help school districts improve student achievement. Before these roles, Tony served as the Associate Superintendent of Business Services at West Contra Costa Unified School District and as the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services at Westminster School District. Tony also held various positions at Santa Ana Unified School District, including Executive Director of Business Operations and Director of Program Quality Analysis. Furthermore, they worked as the Director of Quality Education at Santa Ana Unified School District and as the Director of Student Assessment at Rowland Unified School District. Tony Wold, Ed.D. began their education journey in 1986 at the USC Marshall School of Business, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing and Communications. Tony successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1990.

After a brief hiatus, Tony returned to academic pursuits and enrolled in the University of Southern California in 2002. Over the course of three years, from 2002 to 2005, they diligently worked towards earning their Doctor of Education degree, specializing in Educational Leadership and Administration, General.

In addition to their formal education, Tony Wold also obtained two additional certifications. In 2009, they earned the designation of Chief Business Official from the California School Business Association (CASBO). The following year, in 2010, they obtained the Chief Financial Officer certification from the Council of the Great City Schools. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to professional growth and development in the field of education.
