Michael Reid has extensive experience in pastoral leadership within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Harrisburg, serving as Pastor since June 2016. Prior to this role, Michael was Pastor at Saint Peter Catholic Church and Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Additionally, Michael has held various chaplain roles with the Notre Dame Clubs of Gettysburg and Harrisburg. Michael's earlier career included significant positions such as Secretary to the Tribunal and Parochial Vicar. Before entering the clergy, Michael practiced law following graduation from Widener University Commonwealth Law School and served as a Surface Line Officer in the United States Navy. Michael holds a Master of Divinity from Pope Saint John XXIII National Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Notre Dame.

Saint Patrick Cathedral in Harrisburg is the mother church of the Diocese. The Diocese is also home to Sacred Heart Basilica, Conewago, the oldest stone church in use in the United States, and the Basilica of Saints Cyril and Methodius.
