Leland Defrates

Leland DeFrates is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in plumbing, construction management, and real estate. Currently serving as a Union Journeyman Pipefitter at Valero Refining and a Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Drysdale Properties, Leland has also been a Deacon for the Diocese of Oakland since September 2020. With over 20 years as a Building Trades Journeyman Plumber and Pipefitter through the United Association of Union Plumbers, Leland has held various supervisory roles at Chevron, overseeing complex environmental remediation and construction projects across multiple states. Educational qualifications include a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies, diplomas in Occupational Safety and Health, Project Management, and Construction Management, along with certifications in Risk Management and Plumbing and Pipefitting.
