Damian Herbert

Transformation Programme Director at Diocese of Worcester

Damian Herbert has extensive work experience in various roles within the church and ministry sector. Damian began their career in 2006 as a Youth Worker and Learning Mentor at THE VINE TRUST WALSALL. From 2007 to 2017, Damian worked at BIG Ministries as a Consultant Musician and Songwriter, where they composed contemporary worship songs and delivered training for Children's Workers and Church Leaders. In 2008, they joined Riverside Church as the Director of Music and Worship, managing a team of volunteer worship leaders and musicians. In 2016, Damian moved to The Church of England - Birmingham, where they served as a Mission Facilitator, Children's and Families' Missioner, and Growing Younger Facilitator, focusing on developing mission strategies, engaging with children and families, and supporting parishes in spiritual and numerical growth. Damian currently works as the Transformation Programme Director at Diocese of Worcester.

Damian Herbert's education history begins with their attendance at Caerleon Comprehensive School from 1991 to 1999. However, no degree or field of study is specified for this period. Subsequently, they pursued a Bachelor of Theology degree in Christian Life and Ministry from the London School of Theology, completing this program from 1999 to 2002.

In addition to their formal education, Damian Herbert has obtained certifications in the field of facilitation. Damian completed facilitator training in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY methodology at Inthrface in March 2019. More recently, in May 2022, they acquired advanced facilitator training in the LEGO SERIOUS PLAY - REAL TIME CHANGE method, also at Inthrface.
