Robin Canning has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2009, they served as a University Officer Training Cadet in the British Army Reserves, where they developed leadership skills, discipline, and teamwork. In 2011, they joined Texas Instruments as a Manufacturing Specialist and Supervisor, eventually taking on the role of Transfer Logistics Coordinator, overseeing the transfer of materials between sites. In 2019, Robin moved to Diodes Incorporated, initially working as a Manufacturing Specialist and Supervisor before transitioning to the role of Process Engineer. They were also temporarily assigned as a Stores Manager to troubleshoot and implement fixes for logistics and procurement systems.
Robin Canning has a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Management from the University of the West of Scotland, which was earned from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, Robin studied Biomedical Sciences, General at the University of Glasgow, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree. Robin's secondary education was completed at Largs Academy from 2002 to 2008, with a focus on subjects such as Maths, English, French, History, Biology, PE, and Community PE. Additionally, Robin has earned certifications in First Aid from the British Red Cross in March 2018, as well as in IOSH - Managing Safely and IOSH - Working Safely from the British Safety Council in October 2017.
