Rich Masel

Rich Masel is a distinguished leader in the field of chemical engineering with extensive experience in both academia and industry. As founder of Greenlyzer since August 2023 and Chief Executive Officer of Alchemr since May 2018, Masel also serves as Chairman of the Board for Greendrogen and has been the Founder and CEO of Dioxide Materials since June 2009, focusing on innovative technologies for carbon dioxide conversion. An academic leader, Masel held the position of Fox Professor Of Chemical Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for over thirty years, publishing extensively and securing significant federal research funding. Additional ventures include roles as founder and Chief Technology Officer at cbana labs and providing strategic technology advice at Tekion. Masel's influential career also includes founding Masel Enterprises, a major orthodontic supply company, which was successfully acquired. Educational credentials include a PhD from the University of California, Berkeley, and a combined bachelor's and master's degree from Drexel University.
