Francesco Lumachi

Francesco Lumachi is a seasoned data science expert with extensive experience in digital transformation and machine learning. Currently employed at the Dipartimento per la Trasformazione Digitale since March 2022, Francesco provides guidance on data-driven decision-making related to national digitalization efforts and develops open-source tools for operational support. Prior to this role, Francesco worked as a data scientist at Pirelli, where the focus was on creating and implementing machine learning models aligned with business needs. Francesco's earlier roles include contributions as a software developer consultant at Teoresi S.p.A, a machine learning researcher at IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori Foundation, and various IT positions, including system administrator in the Italian Army. Francesco holds a Master's degree in Data Science from Università degli Studi di Milano and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Università degli Studi di Firenze.
