Julio Alcobendas

Julio Alcobendas is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in transport infrastructure projects, currently serving as a Civil Engineer in the Road Department at Diputació de Tarragona since August 2021. Prior to this role, Julio operated as a Project Manager at AYESA from June 2007 to August 2021, overseeing highways and roads projects and leading teams in earthworks and urbanization at hydraulic and industrial ventures. Julio co-founded MiTrazado, a highly visited Spanish website dedicated to civil engineering software focused on road design. Earlier career stages included working as a Project Engineer at TYPSA from June 2001 to May 2007, engaging in highways, rail, and urban planning projects. Educational qualifications include degrees in Civil Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, a Master’s in Advanced Management of the Promotion and Operation of Infrastructures, and a postgraduate course at École nationale des ponts et chaussées on bitumen applications for road improvement.
