Ricardo Perez has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Ricardo began their career as a Senior Power Test Technician at Space Systems Loral, where they conducted testing and measurements to ensure space satellite quality. Ricardo then transitioned to the US Army Reserves, where they served as an IT Specialist and demonstrated leadership skills by guiding and supervising junior soldiers.
Afterwards, Ricardo joined Infinera as an Electro-Optical Manufacturing Engineer, where they improved first pass yield and trained junior engineers in troubleshooting. Ricardo later became a HW Product Design Engineer, driving product cost reduction and improving supplier quality metrics.
Ricardo then worked at ARRIS as a Principal Manufacturing Engineer and Supply Chain Program Manager. In this role, they managed various projects with significant cost savings, contributed to project efficiency, and troubleshooted PCBA power failures.
Ricardo then joined BD as a Staff Manufacturing Engineer and Portfolio Manufacturing Manager. Ricardo led continuous improvement projects, saved approximately $4 million, and led the Focus Improvement Team.
Currently, Ricardo is working at Direct Line Global as a Technology Program Manager for NPI Eng. Ricardo has helped create a PMO structure to improve project management efficiency and has participated in projects targeting process improvement, cost reduction, labor savings, and risk reductions.
Throughout their career, Ricardo has consistently showcased their ability to drive efficiency, improve quality, and achieve cost savings.
Ricardo Perez has a diverse education history spanning various fields. Ricardo obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General from California State University, Monterey Bay. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from DeVry University-California. Additionally, Ricardo has obtained several certifications throughout their career, including the Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) from ASQ - World Headquarters, the Engineering Leadership Cornell Certificate Program from eCornell, the Facility ESD Auditor TR53/S20.20 Certification (CDM, HBM, CBE, CDE) from Dangelmayer Associates, LLC, the Smart Manufacturing : Moving From Static to Dynamic Manufacturing Operations certification from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the IPC-A-610 Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies Certification from IPC, and the Project Management: Healthcare Projects certification from LinkedIn, among others. Ricardo also holds an Electronics Engineer certification from COLEGIO DE INGENIEROS DEL PERU (CIP). Before pursuing their higher education, Ricardo obtained a Certificate in Professional Sequence in Semiconductor Technology Fundamentals from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as a Management and Leadership Certificate from the US Army. Ricardo also served as a Carpentry and Masonry Specialist (12W) and obtained the Field Representative (Structural and General Pest Control) certification from the Structural Pest Control Board.
