Michael Neilson

Michael Neilson is a dedicated physician specializing in sports medicine and nonoperative orthopedics, currently practicing at Direct Orthopedic Care since September 2021, with a focus on community care and support for local high school sports. Michael completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Sports Medicine at Utah Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, where skills in orthopedics and MSK ultrasound were developed. Prior to this, Michael served as a resident physician at Peak Vista Community Health Centers, and their educational background includes a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University, a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota, and an Associate of Arts from Mesa Community College. Work experience also includes an intern position at Siouxland Pain Clinic and a technician role at Aspen Physical Therapy, among other earlier jobs.
