Jan Sekerka

Jan Sekerka has a diverse work experience starting in 2009 with the founding of Brno Coworking Center, a joint office for freelance professionals. From 2007 to 2012, they were CEO and Founder of TrigramStudio, an internet agency specializing in web development and ICT consultancy. Jan then served as the CTO of City Taxi plus, where they developed and implemented an electronic taxi-dispatch system and managed marketing campaigns. From 2014 to 2019, Sekerka held various positions at Microsoft, including Partner Business Evangelism Lead and Senior Audience Evangelism Manager. Their most recent roles include CEO and Co-founder of Motionlab, an innovative video platform, and Chief Data Officer at Direct technologies and Direct pojišťovna, where they are responsible for developing data strategies and leading data science teams.

Jan Sekerka completed their education at various institutions. From 2007 to 2010, they attended Brno University of Technology, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Managerial Informatics. Jan then pursued further education at the same university from 2010 to 2012, earning an Engineering degree (Ing.) in Information Management. In 2011, Jan also briefly studied at Xamk - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences, focusing on Business and Administration. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Insight Selling" from Microsoft Global Challenger in May 2018, "Selling to the C-Suite" from Wharton Executive Education in March 2016, and "Microsoft-INSEAD Online Challenging Customers through Business Model Innovation" from INSEAD Executive Education in December 2015.
