Martin Motycka

Martin Motycka has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. Martin currently serves as the CFO at Direct pojišťovna, a.s., where they have full P&L responsibility for a turnover of more than 3 Billion CZK. Martin is also responsible for managing the capital structure and financial investments of over 1.5 Billion CZK. Martin is a member of the management team at the company.

Prior to their current role, Martin worked at VELUX as a Finance Manager for the Central and South Eastern Europe region, where they had full P&L accountability for a region with annual sales totaling close to 2 Billion CZK. Martin managed a team of 11 cross-functional associates.

Before VELUX, Martin worked at PPG Industries in various finance roles. As a Financial Analyst for the EMEA Industrial Coatings division, they were responsible for budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow management. Martin also played a key role in integrating a newly acquired company. Martin was also a Senior Finance Auditor for the EMEA region, where they conducted internal and Sarbanes-Oxley audits. Additionally, they served as a General Ledger Team Leader and General Ledger Accountant, overseeing accounting processes, reporting, and audits.

Earlier in their career, Martin worked as an Accounts Payable Clerk at Motorola.

Martin Motycka completed their Master's Degree in Economics at Masaryk University in Brno from 2002 to 2008. Martin obtained their ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) degree in Finance and Accounting from the United Kingdom's ACCA from 2009 to 2014. Additionally, they studied Economics at the University of Verona in Italy from 2005 to 2006, although they did not receive a degree from this institution.
