Chris Butts has extensive experience in IT and network management, currently serving as a Network and Computer Systems Engineer at Direction Home Akron Canton Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities since April 2020. Prior to this role, Chris worked at The Robbins Company from June 2011 to February 2020 as a Senior Information Systems Specialist, overseeing network management for multiple international locations. Chris began at ValMark Securities in September 1999 as a Help Desk Specialist, eventually becoming a Senior Network Administrator before leaving in June 2011. Chris's career began at Portage Children's Center, where responsibilities included office management and IT support for nearly a decade.

Direction Home Akron Canton, along with 11 other Area Agencies on Aging across the state of Ohio, was designated by the Older Americans Act which was designed to provide services to persons not adequately served by other public and private systems. Our focus is funding and advocacy surrounding programs and services that allow older adults and people with disabilities to remain independent and in the home of their choice.
