Lori Smith is an experienced professional with a diverse background in administrative and training roles. Currently serving as the Training Coordinator and previously as a Sr. Program Support Specialist at Direction Home Akron Canton Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities since December 2014, Lori has contributed significantly to program development and support. Prior experience includes the position of Secretary at Canton Erectors, Inc. from 2010 to August 2014, and serving as Executive Assistant to the VP of Service for the Great Lakes District at IKON Office Solutions from September 1998 to February 2002, overseeing operations in several states. Lori Smith pursued education at Stark State College of Technology from 2010 to 2013.

Direction Home Akron Canton, along with 11 other Area Agencies on Aging across the state of Ohio, was designated by the Older Americans Act which was designed to provide services to persons not adequately served by other public and private systems. Our focus is funding and advocacy surrounding programs and services that allow older adults and people with disabilities to remain independent and in the home of their choice.
