Disability Rights Advocates
Desiree R. is currently serving as a Wolinsky Legal Fellow at Disability Rights Advocates since August 2023. Previously, Desiree held multiple roles, including Equal Justice Works Disaster Resilience Program Student Fellow and Law Clerk at Disability Rights California from January to August 2022, and Clinic Extern at Legal Services for Children from August to December 2021. Additional experience includes positions as a Law Clerk at the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF), Litigation Paralegal at Disability Rights Advocates, Legal Assistant at the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and Projects Coordinator at the World Institute on Disability, among other internships. Desiree R. earned a Doctor of Law (JD) with a concentration in Social Justice from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) in 2023, and a Bachelor of Arts in History of Art with a minor in Disability Studies from the University of California, Berkeley in 2015.
