Scott Hughes

Scott Hughes currently serves as Associate General Secretary at Discipleship Ministries of The United Methodist Church, a position held since July 2022, and has been the Director of Adult Discipleship at the same organization since July 2015. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Pastor at Douglasville First United Methodist Church from July 2006 to June 2015, where responsibilities encompassed contemporary worship and spiritual formation. Scott has also held the title of Elder within the United Methodist Church and served as Pastor in charge of the Barnesville Circuit UMC from September 2002 to June 2006. Academic credentials include a Doctorate of Ministry and Master's of Divinity from Southern Methodist University and Asbury Theological Seminary, along with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from the University of West Georgia.
