Melanie Goodwin

Melanie Goodwin has over 40 years of experience in office administration including but not limited to real estate and medical.

Melanie returned to school in 2006, she received a Certificate in Medical Administration. Still not fulfilling her life’s dream of completing her paralegal degree she went back to school in 2009. She graduated with high honors in 2011 from Daytona State College receiving her AAS in Paralegal Studies and continued her education in 2012 receiving her AS in Accounting Technology.

In 2012, Melanie entered the medical field working Halifax Hospital, a Level II Trauma Center. She started in the ER doing registration and then moved to PBFS with her focus on charity, Medicaid, and self-pay collections. She worked at a local orthopedic clinic for two years in the billing department. Her primary focus was Medicaid (reconsiderations and appeals), liability and charity (acting as liaison to Halifax Hospital’s charity program).

Melanie has been with Discover Claims since August 2019 and feels this is the perfect fit for all she has learned along the way.
