Michael Sofranko

Michael Sofranko has extensive experience in financial leadership, particularly within investor relations and corporate planning at Discover Financial Services from September 2017 to October 2023. As Senior Director of Investor Relations, Michael provided strategic oversight of quarterly earnings presentations, guiding executive communications and managing investor interactions. In the role of Senior Director of Corporate Planning, Michael directed enterprise-wide financial planning and forecasting, producing vital presentations for executive and board review. Michael also served as Senior Director and Divisional CFO for the Student Loans business, where responsibility included overseeing a significant revenue-generating segment and enhancing profitability in a changing market. Prior to Discover, Michael held various analytical positions at KeyBank from July 2004 to January 2013. Michael holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Baldwin Wallace University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Miami University.
