Samantha Queen

Samantha Queen is an accomplished communication professional with extensive experience in both public and private sectors, currently serving as the Director of Corporate Communications at the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism since January 2021. Previously, Samantha held the position of Director of Marketing & Innovation at the South Carolina Department of Revenue, where responsibilities included managing projects and enhancing customer experience through technological innovation. Other notable roles encompass Public Information Director I and Public Information Coordinator, focusing on digital communication strategies and website management. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Communication Specialist for the South Carolina Retirement System Investment Commission and working at Virginia Tech as a Marketing and Publicity Graduate Assistant and Videographer & Editor for the Athletics Department. Samantha holds a Master's degree in Public Administration and Policy and two Bachelor's degrees in Communication (Public Relations) and Political Science, all obtained from Virginia Tech.
