Alpana Prasad

Alpana Prasad has a diverse range of work experience in the field of biotechnology and life sciences. Alpana started their career as a Post-Doctoral Associate at Yale University School of Medicine from 2000 to 2001. Alpana then worked as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Boston University School of Medicine from 2001 to 2004.

Following their research experience, Alpana worked as a Technology Manager at Millipore Corporation from 2004 to 2006, where they were responsible for market analysis and developing sales strategies. Alpana then joined Dionex Corporation as a Product Manager from 2006 to 2008, managing the bio-applications of the Ion Chromatography System.

In 2008, Alpana became a Global Product Manager at Bio-Rad Laboratories, where they oversaw the lifecycle management of protein separations portfolio. Alpana then joined Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Biologics Development Center as an Associate Director from 2010 to 2012, leading the portfolio strategy and product communications for biosimilars.

From 2013 to 2015, Alpana worked as a Director of Business Development and Marketing (Life Sciences) at iCool Information Technologies, providing advisory services for technology evaluation and strategic planning.

In 2015, they joined ProteinSimple as a Product Manager, responsible for product management and marketing of the Capillary Electrophoresis platforms. In 2016, they moved to Eurofins DiscoverX and held various roles including Product Manager and Senior Strategic Portfolio Manager, responsible for lifecycle management and strategic partnerships. Currently, they serve as the Director of Innovations and Strategic Partnerships, driving planning and execution of innovations and capabilities roadmaps.

Throughout their career, Alpana has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, portfolio management, product development, and commercialization. Alpana has a strong background in biologic therapeutics and life science research tools.

Alpana Prasad holds a D.Phil. in Biochemistry from the University of Oxford. Prior to that, they earned a B.Sc. (Hons) in Human Biology and an M.Sc. in Biochemistry from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences.
