Raymond Hoffman

Raymond Hoffman, M.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Raymond is currently serving as the Institute Director for the Psychoanalytic Training Institute of the Contemporary Freudian Society in the District of Columbia. Prior to that, they worked as the Clinical Director at Discovery Behavioral Health. Raymond also held the position of Training and Supervising Analyst at the Contemporary Freudian Society. Before that, they worked as a solo practitioner in their private practice of Psychiatry. Raymond also served as the Director of the Division of Mental Health and Substance Abuse at Anne Arundel Medical Center and as the Chief Medical Officer at Mosaic Community Services, Inc. Raymond has had academic involvement as well, serving as the Medical Director of the W P Carter Clinics at the University of Maryland Department of Psychiatry.

Raymond Hoffman, M.D. has a certificate in adult psychoanalysis from the New York Freudian Society (now the Contemporary Freudian Society) which they obtained from 1993 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed a postgraduate residency in psychiatry at the University of Maryland School of Medicine from 1987 to 1991. In 1987, they earned their MD degree from Creighton University School of Medicine, specializing in medicine. Raymond completed their undergraduate studies at Saint Mary's University of Minnesota from 1980 to 1983, earning a BA degree in English literature, English language arts, and philosophy.
