Aimie Burns

Aimie Burns is a seasoned media professional with extensive experience in production and editing, currently serving as a Senior Producer/Editor at Discovery Education since September 2019. Prior to this role, Aimie worked as a Senior Producer and Editor at Rock Creek Productions from July 2007 to September 2019, managing projects through all stages including pre-production and post-production. Additional experience includes leadership as President of the American Advertising Federation - Asheville from June 2016 to August 2019, and various roles in management and internships at The Greenery Restaurant and Lounge, Blue Ridge Motion Pictures, and Bonesteel Films. Aimie holds a Bachelor of Science in Technical Photography and a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Film Production, both from Appalachian State University. Proficient in Avid, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere, Aimie has demonstrated a strong commitment to the media industry over a career spanning more than two decades.
