Jordan Thirus

Jordan Thirus is a Senior Backend Engineer at Discovery Education since April 2022, focusing on enhancing the backend of the Dreambox Math product and leading migrations to improve microservices. Previously, as a Master Software Engineer at Capital One from June 2018 to April 2022, Jordan developed an Angular microsite and modernized underwriting platforms using C# and PostgreSQL. As a Consultant at CapTech Ventures, Inc from January 2016 to May 2018, Jordan played a key role in transitioning an internal government website to a more efficient data storage solution. At General Dynamics Mission Systems from June 2012 to December 2015, Jordan designed software clients in multiple programming languages and supported vendor integration. Jordan began a career as a Software Engineer Intern at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems in 2011. Jordan holds a B.A. in Computer Science and Physics from the University of Virginia.
