Sophie Yifan Chen

Sophie Yifan Chen is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the education and consulting sectors. Currently serving as the China Director at Discovery Education since April 2019, Sophie is also a Co-Founder of JMDedu, which has been operational since January 2015. Notable previous roles include Co-Founder of Seahire.me, a startup connecting elite Chinese corporations with international talent, and Researcher at Harvard Graduate School of Education, where Sophie contributed to the development of global education curricula. Other experiences include teaching at New Oriental Education & Technology Group, interning in marketing at L'Oréal, and working as a Consulting Analyst at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Sophie holds a Master's degree in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Master's in Decision Analysis from Minerva University, along with a Bachelor's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Shanghai International Studies University.
