Christy Aymami

Christy Aymami, M. Ed. has worked in various roles in the field of education and healthcare. Christy started their career in 2004 as a Lead MLT-CSR at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. In 2006, they joined the Jefferson Parish Public School System as a Science Teacher and also served as the Medical Academy Director and Technology Coordinator at L. W. Higgins High School. Christy worked there until 2012, during which they also served as the Varsity Coach for Soccer and Cross Country. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Science Teacher at Archbishop Rummel High School. Christy then moved on to St. Charles Parish Public Schools in 2013, where they were a Chemistry Instructor and held leadership roles such as Data Team Leader for the Chemistry Professional Learning Community and Literacy Team Leader. Since 2015, they have been employed at Discovery Health Sciences Schools, initially as an Educational Technology Specialist and currently as the Director of Educational Technology.

Christy Aymami, M. Ed. obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Northwestern State University between 2014 and 2016. Prior to that, they completed a Post Bachelor Degree Certification in Secondary Education and Teaching at the University of New Orleans from 2007 to 2008. Their education began with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Louisiana Monroe, which they earned between 2003 and 2005.
