Jesse Watson

Jesse Watson, Ph.D., M.P.A., has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Jesse is currently serving as the Director of Recruitment and Community Engagement at Discovery Health Sciences Schools since June 2021. Prior to this, Jesse worked as the Founding Principal at Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy from June 2013 to June 2021. Jesse also served as the Assistant Principal at the International School of Louisiana from April 2012 to June 2013. Jesse began their professional journey as a Doctoral Student - Instructor at Texas A&M University, where they worked from 2007 to 2011.

Jesse Watson, Ph.D., M.P.A. earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Southern University and Agricultural and Mechanical College at Baton Rouge in 2003. Following this, they completed a Master of Public Administration (M.P.A.) degree in Public Policy at the same institution in 2004. In 2005, Jesse earned a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Education Administration and Supervision from Southern University. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (Urban Education) from Texas A&M University in 2011.
