Berenice Lue Marais

Berenice Lue Marais serves as the Deputy Chairperson and a member of the Board at Save the Children South Africa, where responsibilities include chairing the Governance and HR Committee and participating in various committees related to fundraising, programs, and marketing. Since 2021, Berenice has been involved with the National Business Initiative and serves as an Independent Committee Member at Discovery Limited. As a lecturer and facilitator at The Da Vinci Institute, Berenice contributes to education while previously holding the position of Non-Executive Director at the National Library of South Africa and the Ethics Institute of South Africa. Berenice has an extensive background in governance, risk management, and strategic communications, supported by an MBA in International Business from American University and a BASc in Economics from the University of the District of Columbia. Additionally, Berenice is a Fellow of the African Leadership Initiative through The Aspen Institute.
