Melinda Skirvin

Melinda Skirvin serves as the Executive Director at Discovery Senior Living since March 2025, overseeing operations of a large senior living community encompassing Independent, Assisted, and Memory Care. Prior to this role, Melinda held various leadership positions at Five Star Senior Living, including Vice President of Patient Care Services, where responsibilities involved optimizing operations following a private equity transition. Additionally, Melinda served as Division Vice President for Eastern Operations, managing 67 communities across six states and enhancing care quality and profitability. Early career achievements as Regional Director of Operations included expanding operations in Florida significantly and increasing profitability. Melinda holds a Master of Science in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Registered Nursing from Florida State College at Jacksonville.
