Dr. Kent Pettet

Dr. Kent Pettet, Ph.D. has a diverse and extensive work experience in the education sector. Dr. Kent started their career as a 5th-grade teacher at Boone Grove Elementary School in Porter Township School District in 1999. Dr. Kent then moved on to Thompson R2-J School District, where they worked as the Dean of Students and Teacher at Namaqua Elementary School from 2000 to 2004. Subsequently, they joined Adams 12 Five Star Schools as an Assistant Principal at Leroy Drive and Hillcrest Elementary School from 2004 to 2005. Dr. Kent continued their career at MSD of Wayne Township, Indianapolis, Indiana, serving as an Assistant Principal at Stout Field Elementary School from 2005 to 2008. In 2008, they joined Franklin Community School Corporation as the Principal of Needham Elementary School until 2016. Dr. Kent then transitioned to Franklin Township Community School Corporation, where they took on multiple leadership roles including Principal of Bunker Hill Elementary School from 2016 to 2018, Chief People Officer from 2018 to 2021, and is currently serving as the Chief Communications and Public Relations Officer. In 2012, Dr. Pettet attained an Educational Specialist degree in K-12 School Administration from Indiana State University.
