Evert van der Veer

Evert van der Veer serves as the VP of Programming for Disney+ in the EMEA region at The Walt Disney Company since October 2021, focusing on the strategic development of content to maximize subscriber engagement and retention. Prior to this role, Evert was the VP of Media Networks for The Walt Disney Company Africa, overseeing various children, factual, entertainment, and sports networks. Evert's experience includes leadership positions at Fox Networks Group Africa as VP and GM, Head of Content for iflix in Africa and the Middle East, and Vice President at Viacom International Media Networks Africa, where responsibilities included programming, acquisitions, and content strategy across multiple platforms. Evert also held managerial roles in acquisitions for MTV Networks in Northern Europe and earlier worked in channel management at UPC/Chello Media. Evert van der Veer holds degrees from the University of Amsterdam and GIBS Business School.
