Steven Vargas

Steven Vargas, CFE, CPP® is an accomplished security professional with extensive experience in strategic leadership and operations within the hospitality industry. Currently serving as the Director of Domestic Security Strategy and previously as the Director of Security Streaming Services at The Walt Disney Company since June 2017, Steven has held various roles including Sr. Manager of Security, Strategy & New Initiatives and West Coast Security Operations Manager. Prior to joining Disney, Steven worked at InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG®) from August 2011 to June 2017, where positions included Area Director of Safety & Security and Director of Security & Risk Management. Steven's career began at Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts as Assistant Director of Security from August 2008 to August 2011. Steven holds an MBA in Economic Crime and Fraud Management from Utica University, an MS in Security Management, and a BA in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College (CUNY). Additionally, Steven has completed a certificate program in Understanding Security as a Business Asset from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
