Benjamin Jefferson has worked in the technology industry since 2000. Benjamin'sfirst job was an Electrical Engineering Intern at Motorola, where they worked on projects such as reverse engineering competitor circuit boards and testing ultrasonic backup/parking sensors. From 2001 to 2006, they worked as an Electronics Engineer at Bobcat Company, where they worked on electronic controls for skid-steer loaders, embedded software for the all-wheel-steer electrohydraulic steering, and embedded software for joystick control of the boom functions. From 2006 to 2013, they worked at DISTek Integration, Inc. in various roles, including Vice President of Technology Development, VP Business Development, Director of Business Strategy, and Engineering Manager. In this role, they lead a team of embedded software/firmware engineers and was responsible for design and development of real-time software for vehicle electronics.

Benjamin Jefferson received their Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 2001. Benjamin then attended Arizona State University and received their Master of Science in Electrical Engineering in 2008 and their MBA in 2011 from the W. P. Carey School of Business.
