Kara May

Kara May serves as the Founding Principal and Director of Partnerships and Creative Development at Distinctive Schools since February 2019 and also holds the position of Principal at Art In Motion Creative Arts School. With experience as a Consultant at Beyond the Pen Editorial Coaching and Consulting since November 2013, Kara previously worked as the Response to Intervention District Coordinator for Rich Township High School District 227 and as an Educator within Rich Township from August 1998 to February 2019. Additionally, Kara contributed to higher education as an Adjunct Professor at Governors State University from August 2009 to December 2010. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership and Administration from Governors State University, a Master of Education in French and English from Truman State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature, also from Truman State University.
