Sami Baugh

Sami Baugh is the Chief Talent Officer at Distinctive Schools, having held various leadership roles since April 2017, including Executive Director of Operations & Talent and Director of Talent Acquisition. Previously, from February 2014 to March 2017, Sami served as Director of Human Capital at UNO Charter School Network, leading talent acquisition strategies and overseeing comprehensive HR functions. Additional experience includes a Fellowship at Education Pioneers and a position at CareerBuilder focused on strategic human capital solutions. Sami's early career featured roles as a National Recruiter/Coach at both the University of Illinois at Chicago and Central Michigan University, where contributions included event management, recruiting coordination, and athletic coaching, notably leading the Central Michigan Softball team to record-breaking achievements. Sami holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Health & Sports Studies from the University of Iowa, along with a Master of Arts in Sport Administration from Central Michigan University.
