John Truxell-Svenson has worked in the professional world since 2001. Theirfirst job was as a Lead Consultant/Project Manager at Innovative Technology Services, where they were responsible for various projects, including a 38,000-seat email migration from Lotus cc:Mail to Lotus Notes/Domino, UNIX and zOS for the US Customs Service, and a messaging migration and consolidation for planning phase bringing 400,000+ messaging seats across 21 component agencies into one federated system for the DHS Messaging Program. In 2007, they began working at IBM Global Business Services as a Senior Project Manager, where they oversaw federal and commercial proposal development programs and projects from initial planning to bid and execution estimating, determining staffing, and developing and following schedules. John also assessed requirements and designed solutions using federal financial management-actual cost accounting and EVM asset commercialization methods. In 2019, they joined the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad as an Operational Member. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Senior Customer Engagement Manager at Distributed Solutions, Inc.

John Truxell-Svenson has studied Philosophy at the University of Vermont and Corporate Communications and Public Relations at Trinity College of Vermont.
