Gbenga Fola-Alade

Gbenga Fola-Alade has a diverse work experience in the field of product design, user experience design, and entrepreneurship. Gbenga has held various roles in different companies and startups throughout their career.

Starting in 2015, they co-founded Bitwyse and served as the Head of Product, where they successfully designed and managed websites and mobile apps for clients in various sectors. Gbenga also worked as a Senior UI Designer at Holland America Line in 2022.

In 2019, Gbenga worked as an Entrepreneur in Residence at MEST Africa, where they contributed their expertise in business development and innovation.

From 2021 to 2022, they held the position of Senior UX Designer at IDEO, where they played a key role in designing user experiences for various projects. Gbenga also worked as a UX Designer at Kandua during this time.

In 2022, Gbenga joined Checkr, Inc. as a Senior Product Designer. Gbenga was responsible for designing new features for candidate verification and introduced a framework to facilitate design tasks for engineers.

Gbenga also had a brief engagement as a Senior Product Designer at Meaningful Gigs in 2022, where they focused on user experience design.

In 2020, they co-founded Heny and served as the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer. In this role, they led a product team, recruited and launched multiple mobile apps, secured venture capital funding, and implemented various design and development methodologies.

In 2022, Gbenga co-founded Greensol.io and took on the role of Co-Founder.

Their most recent experience includes working as a Senior Product Designer and Mobile Application Developer at Distributed starting in 2023.

Gbenga Fola-Alade has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science from Lancaster University, which they obtained between 2015 and 2018. In 2019 and 2020, they pursued Software Entrepreneurship at MEST Africa. Before their university studies, Gbenga attended APTECH Computer Education in 2014, where they completed a Diploma in Information Systems Management, specializing in Computer Software Engineering. Additionally, Gbenga completed their high school education at Greensprings School, St. Saviours School in Ebute-Metta, and Greenwood House School. Furthermore, Gbenga has obtained certifications in Agile Methods for UX Design and UX Management from the Interaction Design Foundation (IxDF).
