Tess Nicholson Powers is an experienced education professional with a strong background in human capital improvement and strategic planning. Currently serving as a Director at District Management Group since February 2017, Tess supports superintendents and school leaders in enhancing operational efficiency and student outcomes. Prior experience includes serving as a Recruitment Manager at Teach For America, successfully managing recruitment campaigns and leading a team to attract diverse candidates for the national teaching corps. Tess also has experience as a teacher and grade level chair at Democracy Prep Public Schools, as well as various roles in tennis instruction and retail management. Tess holds a Master's degree in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor's degree in Theology and Mathematics from Boston College.
