DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU)
Philip Haddix is an experienced professional in the renewable energy sector, currently serving as the Affordable Housing Retrofit Accelerator Portfolio Manager and the Solar for All Portfolio Manager at the DC Sustainable Energy Utility since January 2020. Previously, Philip held the position of Director of Strategic Initiatives and Partnerships at The Solar Foundation, where responsibilities included managing the Solar Saves Lives initiative in Puerto Rico. Prior to this, Philip served as Outreach Manager at GRID Alternatives, focusing on solar pipelines for low-to-moderate income households, and as SolSmart Program Director at The Solar Foundation, conducting outreach and technical assistance for local governments. Philip began a career in energy policy and research with roles at Indiana University and various organizations, with a strong educational background that includes a Master of Public Affairs in Energy and Environmental Policy from the O'Neill School and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of West Georgia.

The District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU) helps residents and businesses in DC use less energy, save money, and cut greenhouse gas emissions. Since 2011, the DCSEU has delivered rebates, technical assistance, and information to tens of thousands of District renters, homeowners, and businesses, helping them to save millions of dollars on their energy costs. Through our work, we are creating green jobs for District residents, fostering economic opportunities for District businesses, keeping energy costs down for low-income residents, and building a brighter future for the City.
