Andrew Hamilton

Andrew Hamilton currently serves as a faculty member in the Department of Computing and Data Science at Capilano University since September 2023. In addition to academic roles, Andrew has been a City Councillor for the District of Squamish since October 2022. Andrew's previous experience includes serving as a Professor at Quest University Canada from January 2017 to April 2023, and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Cape Town between July 2011 and December 2016. Earlier in Andrew's career, a position as a Scientific Researcher at Université de Genève involved post-doctoral research on the ATLAS experiment, along with teaching assistant duties. Andrew holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Elementary Particle Physics from the University of Alberta, obtained in 2006, and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Experimental Physics from York University, completed in 2000.
