Ian Picketts is a seasoned professional in sustainability and climate change management, currently serving as the Manager of Sustainability and Climate Change at the District of Squamish since May 2020. Prior to this role, Ian held positions as a Faculty Professor and Physical Sciences Division Coordinator at Quest University Canada, where teaching and research focused on human responses to climate change and integrated resource management. Ian's consulting experience includes reviewing climate change adaptation strategies for various districts and advocating for responsible resource management as an Environmental Policy Analyst at the Pembina Institute. Ian's academic background includes a PhD in Climate Change Adaptation and a Master’s in Environmental Planning from the University of Northern British Columbia, complemented by a Bachelor's in Geological and Environmental Engineering from Queen's University.
