Juan Sebastian Arenas Valdivieso

Juan Sebastian Arenas Valdivieso is currently the LATAM Digital Director and Digital Transformation Director at Distritech LLC, a role they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they were the CTO at RapiCredit from 2019-2021. From 2016-2019, they were the Jefe de Servicios Transversales de TI, lider de la oficina de proyectos PMO at Universidad EAFIT, where they were responsible for leading the PMO of TI, leading the process of IT governance, leading the team of process management and organizational quality, leading the team of software licensing, purchases and IT budgets, and leading the team of integration architecture. From 2015-2016, they were the Director of Operations at Tech and Solve, where they were responsible for leading the operations management of the company, consisting of project directors, solution architects, developers and QA analysts. Juan Sebastian also designed and managed performance and performance indicators for the different development teams, and managed the budget of the Operations Management. From 2012-2015, they were a Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard, where they managed technology infrastructure projects for the world's largest consumer. Juan Sebastian was also responsible for coordinating and managing virtual teams for the execution of deliverables and projects in different countries in North America, Europe and Asia, leading teams of up to 20 people depending on the projects in execution. From 2011-2012, they were the Director of Projects at Tech and Solve. From 2009-2011, they were the Medellin Plant SNS Leader at Procter & Gamble, where they managed and delivered the Medellin Plant projects according to the annual plan. Juan Sebastian also managed and controlled all services provided by the IT area to the plant by third parties. From 2008-2009, they were an Telecommunications Internship at SURAMERCANA DE SEGUROS, where they developed the business practice in the Telecommunications and Information Security area. Juan Sebastian was also responsible for managing the monitoring console of the Inversura wireless network and the Telecommunications control consoles. Finally, from 2006-2008, they were the Entrepreneur and Manager at Conectando Diseños & Soluciones Web, where they were the entrepreneur and promoter of the company. Juan Sebastian accompanied clients from the planning process of the website, delivery of requests and quotations, to the design and programming process. Juan Sebastian was also responsible for finding the best graphic design provider that fit the final requirements and expectations of the client.

Juan Sebastian Arenas Valdivieso obtained their Systems Engineer degree from Universidad EAFIT in 2009, majoring in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance. In 2011, they completed a Diplomado en Administración de Proyectos y Sistemas de Información from the same university, majoring in Project Management. Juan Sebastian then completed an Especialista en Sistemas de Información from Universidad EAFIT in 2012. In 2016, they completed a Programa Integral de Direccion from Inalde Bussines School. Finally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA from Universidad EAFIT in 2019, majoring in Administración y gestión de empresas, general.

In addition to their degrees, Juan Sebastian Arenas Valdivieso has obtained several certifications. In 2011, they obtained a Certified Associate in Project Management - CAPM from the Project Management Institute. In 2013, they obtained a Project Management Professional - PMP from the Project Management Institute. In 2014, they obtained an ITIL V3 Service Management Foundations from the Service Desk Institute. In 2015, they obtained a Managing Projects with Microsoft Project 2013 from Microsoft. Finally, in 2021, they obtained a RECONOCIMIENTO COMPROMISO DOCENTE 2021 from Universidad EAFIT.
