Ian Woodbury

Ian Woodbury is a seasoned aerospace and defense professional currently serving as the Director of Structures at Divergent since May 2025. Prior experience includes roles as Engineering Manager at Zipline, where responsibilities focused on embedded systems and team building, and Lead Structures Engineer at SpaceX, where leadership contributed to the successful development of Starship Nosecones and inclusion in diversity hiring. A career trajectory also features engineering internships at Tesla Motors and SpaceX, alongside coaching roles in sailing. Ian holds an Engineer’s Degree in Mechatronic Systems Engineering from Simon Fraser University, completing studies in 2017.
