Justin O'Connor

Justin O'Connor is an experienced professional with a strong background in education and research. Currently serving as a Design Optimization Intern at Divergent since May 2022, Justin previously held roles as a Graduate Assistant at Colorado State University, where responsibilities included teaching calculus to engineering students and conducting research. As a Middle School Teacher at St. John Vianney Catholic Parish, Justin taught Math and Science to grades 6 through 8 and successfully increased student test scores. Additionally, experiences include a Research Intern position at Texas A&M University's Dark Matter Detection laboratory, as well as earlier roles as a Research Assistant at Shroud Center of Colorado and a Team Member at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. Justin holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from Colorado State University, a Master of Education in Secondary Education from the University of Notre Dame, and a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Texas A&M University.
