Bill Tatun

Bill Tatun is the Chief Information Security Officer and Director of CJIS ACE at Diverse Computing. Bill previously worked for the New York State Police for over 20 years, finishing their career as the Director of Public Safety Information Security and Sharing. In this role, they were responsible for the information security program across all NY State public safety agencies, as well as generating new mechanisms and relationships for sharing critical information across public safety agencies both in and outside of NY. Bill has also served as the NYS FBI CJIS Systems Officer, the FBI CJIS Audit and Compliance program manager for NY State, and the NYS NLETS Representative. Additional prior roles held with the New York State Police were Director of Information Technology, Assistant to the Deputy Superintendent, Technology & Communications, NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services Information Security Officer, and NYS Police Information Security Officer. Bill began their career with the New York State Police as a Technical Sergeant assigned to Planning and Research, and also served as a Road Trooper, where they were responsible for criminal investigations, traffic enforcement, community relations, and patrol.

Bill Tatun has a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology - Security from Western Governors University and an Associate of Science in Business Administration and Management, General from Herkimer County Community College. Bill also has certification from USA Weightlifting in USAW Weightlifting Referee, FL Guardian ad Litem Program in Case Planning with Incarcerated Parents (1 hr/CLE 1806904N), FL Guardian ad Litem Program in Overview of Exceptional Student Education (1.5 hours), FL Guardian ad Litem Program in Psychotropic Medication, ISACA in CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium in CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CrossFit, Inc. in CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, and US Center for Safe Sport in SafeSport Certification.

Bill Tatun reports to Craig Gibbens, President. They work with Lester Hutt - Director of Outreach and Recruiting, Jamie Blakley - Director of Business Development, and Jeff Moore - PMO Director.
