Deidre West

Deidre West has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Deidre is currently a Member at ForbesBLK, starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Head of Events at Diverse Representation, where they planned experiences, managed brand partnerships and sponsorships, and worked to increase diversity in the sports and entertainment industry. Before that, Deidre was an Executive Event Producer, Brand Partnership Lead, and Marketing Strategist. Deidre also held the position of Account Director, Events & Experiences at Quintessentially.

Deidre's earlier work experience includes being an Adjunct Instructor at West Virginia University, where they taught courses related to event planning and brand management. Deidre also worked as the Director of Special Events & Celebrity Relations at Children's Health Fund, where they managed events and celebrity engagement. Deidre previously held roles at New York University, Hachette Filipacchi Media, Emap LLC, and Sony Music Entertainment, where they gained experience in event management, marketing, and executive assistance.

Deidre West holds a Master's degree in Music Business & Entertainment Professions from New York University. Deidre also has engaged with the George H. Heyman, Jr. Center for Philanthropy and Fundraising at New York University, although the specific degree obtained is unknown. Prior to their postgraduate studies, they completed a Bachelor's degree in Advertising from Ohio University. Additionally, Deidre has pursued further education and obtained certifications in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021, as well as the application of the QM Rubric from QM Quality Matters in February 2019.
