Wendy Owen is an experienced educator and curriculum developer with a diverse background in teaching English as a second language, academic literacy, and writing. Since retiring in 2017, Wendy has continued to work as an ESL teacher at Diversitat, focusing on students from refugee backgrounds. Wendy has contributed significantly to curriculum writing at Chisholm Institute and has worked as a self-employed editor and writer, serving prestigious clients like The National Gallery of Victoria and Oxford University Press. Previous roles include lecturing at several universities, including La Trobe and Deakin University, and teaching English in Italy. Wendy holds a Master's degree in Education (TESOL) from Charles Sturt University and has Bachelor's degrees in Fine and Studio Arts and English, Philosophy, and Politics from Monash University.
