Steve Baloff

Steve founded his venture capital firm Twin Lakes Ventures in 2018.

He has been Managing Director at Advanced Technology Ventures since 1996. During this period ATV invested over $1.7B over five active funds and continues to manage two active funds, ATV 7 and ATV 8. ATV’s focus has been information technology, life sciences and cleantech during this period. Steve has been an advisor to many early stage ventures over the years.

Prior to his venture capital career, he founded and served as CEO of Worldview Systems, a successful venture-backed startup. Through a joint venture with Sabre Interactive, Worldview Systems created and launched Travelocity.com, the award-winning travel site.

His career originated in Booz, Allen & Hamilton’s San Francisco and London offices, where he focused on strategy engagements for a variety of technology companies in the U.S. and Europe. Steve holds an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Harvard College.
