Tomaso Duso has an extensive work experience in various academic institutions and research organizations. Tomaso started their career as an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Vienna in 2003. Tomaso then worked as a Research Fellow at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin fuer Sozialforschung (WZB) from 2004 to 2011. Following this, they joined the University of Düsseldorf as an Associate Professor from 2011 to 2018. In 2018, they became a Professor at Technische Universität Berlin. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Department at DIW Berlin - German Institute for Economic Research and is also serving as a Commissioner at the Monopolies Commission starting from 2022.
Tomaso Duso pursued their education in economics with a Master's degree at Università Ca' Foscari Venezia. Tomaso attended this institution from 1990 to 1996. Following their Master's program, they furthered their academic journey and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in economics from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. This degree spanned from 1997 to 2002.
