Fulya Vekiloglu

Director, Employment Services at Dixon Hall

Fulya Vekiloglu is the Director of Employment Services at Dixon Hall. Fulya has worked extensively in the field of gender and community development, both in Canada and internationally.

Fulya started their career as a Program Manager with the UNDP, where they managed a Community based Reproductive Health Program. Fulya then spent a year as a Consultant with UN Women, working on the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women.

In 2015, they moved to Afghanistan to work as a Gender Advisor with Save the Children Canada. Fulya then took on the role of Country Program Manager with UN Women. In this role, they were responsible for managing UN Women's programs and projects in Afghanistan.

After returning to Canada, they worked as a Manager with the City of Toronto's Employment and Social Services TESS. In this role, they oversaw the delivery of employment and social services to immigrants and refugees in the city.

Most recently, they have been working as the Director of Employment Services at Dixon Hall. In this role, they are responsible for providing employment services to individuals who are struggling to find work.

Fulya Vekiloglu has a MSc in Gender and Women Studies from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University, and a Bachelor in Industrial Product Design from Fine Art University- Mimar Sinan Universitesi.
