Honchung T.

Honchung T. has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Honchung began their career as a Teaching Assistant at The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1990. Honchung then worked at various roles in Schering-Plough Research Institute from 2001 to 2009, including Senior Scientist, Associate Principal Scientist, and Principal Scientist. Honchung joined Merck Research Labs in 2009 as a Principal Scientist and worked there until 2011. Honchung then moved to AstraZeneca, Asia and Emerging Market iMed in 2012, where they served as a Principal Scientist II/Project Lead until 2016, and later became the Head of Chemistry until 2017. Since 2018, they have been working at Dizal Pharma as the Chemistry VP.

Honchung T. pursued their education in the field of chemistry, with a focus on organic synthesis. Honchung first completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree at The Chinese University of Hong Kong from 1986 to 1990. After this, they went on to obtain a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree, specializing in organic synthesis, from the same institution between 1991 and 1993. Subsequently, Honchung T. furthered their academic journey by pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in organic synthesis at The Ohio State University, from 1993 to 1998. Finally, they completed a Postdoctoral program at Stanford University, specializing in organic synthesis, from 1998 to 2000.
